Lyn Li
Lives & works in Toronto, Canada
Lyn Li grew up in mainland China. She strives to use the power of vibrant colours in all of her artworks, contrasting the black and white traditional Chinese style of painting. She is influenced by the Romantic period, with Greek idealistic aesthetics.
In 2014, Lyn finished her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Ottawa. She moved to Toronto, where she found her true passion in visual art and started showing her artworks at various Toronto galleries and events, such as: the Carrier Gallery, Super Wonder Gallery, Salon of Inclusiveness at The Blackcat Gallery, Absurd Amour at Gallery 345, etc. She is currently furthering her education at the Academy of Realist Art.
In 2016, Lyn discovered the magic of mixing abstract acrylic ink shapes together with acrylic/oil realistic objects, so she created a whole colourful "Splash'' series that year. In 2017, Lyn concentrates mostly on small facial studies and enhances her skill at painting realistic oil portraits. Some of her paintings are featured in the Hollywood movies.
Lyn is looking forward to showcasing her works at Art Capital in Paris and the NY Art Expo over the next few years.
